1) How did you become interested in photography, and what inspired your website?

I was always interested in photography, as my late father was an expert slide photographer. As I matured, I followed in his footsteps, I started specializing in landscape and scenery visuals, and eventually became interested in glamour and fashion, which is where I stand today. My website was suggested by close friends who felt my images deserved more exposure that sitting around in outdated photo albums.I hope those viewing these images agree..

2) What type of equipment are you currently shooting with?

I had been working with a Canon 20D Digital and have recently changed over to Nikon Digital. For most of my informative years in photography I worked exclusively on film, but have found digital to be a more advanced medium, offering higher resolution, ease of use, and enhanced features more akin to today's professional photographers.

3) Do you use professional lighting when shooting models?

I have had it both ways. Usually when shooting a portfolio, I am shooting either in a studio or private outdoor location. I have used pro lighting a few times, and natural lighting many times. There are pros and cons to both ways of shooting. I believe natural light is the more appealing, offering the truest image quality, but in many instances, professional lighting is a must.

4) Your galleries vary in images and styles, from landscape scenery to model portfolios, which is your favorite and why?

I appreciate both mediums immensely. Scenery is an amazing area to delve into. There are so many variables, and the quality of the images can be so stellar, that I simply adore scenic shoots. At the same time, shooting models is also an area I have worked in and enjoyed to the highest extent. With models, you have the added benefit of dealing with an individual’s personality, which can bear greatly on the quality of any image. I have been blessed in both ways, awesome scenic locals, and some of the finest models working today.

5) Is photography your full time profession?

No, not at this time. I still maintain a professional 40 hr per week full time job, but hope that with the added exposure of this site and my images, that photography may become my full time job of choice. It has been a long time dream I have strived for, and will continue to do so until I succeed.

6) Do you have a favorite model of all those that you have worked with?

Yes, I do. However, professional courtesy precludes me from discussing that. I would not want to be considered offensive, as I must be honest and say that every model I have worked with has brought her own style and personality to every shoot. And from every model I have learned something new, that, in itself, is a gift no money could buy.

7) What does the model receive after she completed a photo shoot with you?

Within 14 days of the completion of the shoot, all models receive a CD of the images from the shoot. Timing on this can vary at times, depending on situational delays, and also if extra work is needed on the images prior to the presentation of the CD. The most important detail for me in any shoot is to get the best, highest quality images, and sometimes trying to speed things up only hurts the final product.

8) What are your standard rates for a portfolio shoot?

My standard rates on any given photo shoot in $100 per hour, with a 2 hr minimum. Also if travel should be required, that is also paid by the client. I do negotiate rates for clients looking for longer shooting times, and also with special needs, or requiring more complex images.

9) Do you offer to do TFP or TFCD shoots?

I would consider any such offer from a model who I feel needs the extra exposure, or a model that may enhance my site at the same time. Modeling is a difficult profession and many times beginners need extra time to hone their skills, and so I am open and willing to assist, as long as the shoot can benefit both of us equally.

10) What is your favorite part of photography, and what is your favorite scenic destination?

My favorite part of photography today, as it always has been, is the great opportunity to take a simply looking situation, and thru skills and artistry creates something that is beautiful to the eye, and pleasing to the soul. Photography when done well, offers both of these attributes in abundance, and it's a true pleasure when shooting to achieve this goal. As for my favorite scenic destination, easily said, Australia. I have been blessed to have visited this beautiful country, with its amazing people 7 times, and hope to visit again soon. As you can see in the extensive galleries shown here, there is so much to see and admire. That said, I also adore London, the West Coast of the States including Las Vegas, San Francisco and San Diego.

I hope you'll all enjoy the journey thru "AllWarren.com" and keep checking back frequently for future updates.
